MEET CARINA MACSWEENEY

ABOUT CARINA

Carina is a mum of 2 who loves to surf, play pool and eat great food. She has worked as a library assistant, lifeguard, playscheme leader and trained as an aerobics instructor before embarking on her yoga teacher training in 2014. Carina found yoga through a Barbara Currie DVD in her early 20s and knew she wanted to teach yoga after attending her first class.

She received her Hatha 200hr YTT with Santosha in Bali. A truly life changing experience that initiated the next 9 years of further trainings including; yoga nidra, mindfulness, yin, restorative, vinyasa and pregnancy. Carina is passionate about healing spaces and has also trained in aromatherapy, crystal healing, reiki, women’s circles, tarot reading, cacao facilitation and completed her foundation training as a death doula.

Carina infuses all her knowledge into every class with particular focus on building mind body connection. She seeks to provide space for you to find ease and calm as well as free movement. Every class includes mindfulness, breath work and relaxation as She feels these are the corner stones of greater connection to self. As a senior yoga teacher with over 8 years’ experience she has a wealth of knowledge to draw on and can provide options, adjustments and alterations to suit most people ensuring you always have a variety of poses to choose from.

Qualifications: 200 hr RYT Hatha Yoga Instructor. 100hr Yin yoga, 50hr Restorative yoga, 50hr Pregnancy Yoga, Level 1 I-rest yoga nidra, Aqua Yoga, 20hr vinyasa yoga
